Our donation guidelines are based on our ability to resell items as well as limited storage facilities.. Please contact a volunteer for guidance if you are unsure if items meet these criteria.

If you would not purchase it in its current condition, please DO NOT donate it!

We do not accept:

• Books that are not in good condition, including those that are damp, moldy, smelly, smoky, have torn pages/covers, underlined, or highlighted.
• Large donations (more than 4 shopping bags or equivalent boxes) without specific prior arrangements - call ahead or see volunteers at the store.
• Old, outdated atlases, computer manuals, price lists for collectors, travel guides, library discards, pornographic materials or catalogs.
• Encylopedia and other multivolume sets.
• Readers Digest condensed fiction and nonfiction.
• VHS, cassettes, and vinyl records.
• Craft and food magazines older than 12 months, any other magazines older than 4 months.

Prime 1, Inc. will take books that we cannot accept.
Donations can be dropped off at 1960 Williams St, Suite A, San Leandro, CA 94577, 24/7 in the blue Book Drop Box.
