Kiss My Aster – Amanda Thomsen (2012 Nonfiction)

The author calls this book "A Graphic Guide to Creating a Fantastic Yard Totally Tailored to You," and that's what it is. Written in conversational vernacular and liberally illustrated, this book is both entertaining and informative. Whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting out, you will love the way this book is written, and you will also gain valuable knowledge about designing, setting up, planting, and maintaining your garden, beginning with a bare plot of land. The illustrations are whimsical but logical and botanically correct. I introduced this book to my garden club, and a number of the members have also purchased it.
