The Fate of Mercy Alban by Wendy Webb (2013 Fiction)

The Alban family has a long history of secrets, scandals, and alleged supernatural occurrences, all of which are dredged up when a reporter tries to dig into the simultaneous disappearance of Grace’s aunt and the suicide of a world-famous author that occurred over 50 years ago.

Like the Alban family home with its secret rooms and passages, this novel is packed with twists and surprises that keep the reader guessing until the last page. It is truly exciting and scary and would make a great movie. Recommended to anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery with a witch or two thrown in.
