November is a time of celebration for the Friends of Castro Valley Library! It is Annual Meeting time. On November 25, 2014 we will have our annual meeting – as the name implies we only have one each year. Please come if you can; you will meet with some of the most amazing people on the planet (well at least in Castro Valley). Other good reasons for attending the annual meeting:
- To elect the new members of the board: vicepresident, 2 treasurers, member-at-large
- To congratulate the outgoing board members
- To meet all the board members
- To hear a report from the head of Castro Valley Library: Library Branch Manager, Carolyn Moskovitz
- To learn how the Friends of Castro Valley Library have supported our library
- To discover the ways the Friends will support the library in the months ahead
- To have delicious cookies
The December Book Sale is just around the corner. Mark your calendars for December 5 - 7 and come prepared to
shop. Bring your gift list. There will be many gift quality books for sale at very reasonable prices. The book sale needs lots of volunteers; sign up at the book store to be one of the amazing volunteers who make the sale a huge success.
November will mark the end of my first year as your president. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you this year. I look forward to another year working with the Friends as we continue to serve the Castro Valley community.
